Kaya started her apprenticeship at Homeward Bound in 2023, and officially started as an artist in 2024. While she has learned a little bit from all the Homeward Bound artists, she owes most of her knowledge and an incredible amount of thanks to Jesse and Daniel for being “the best teachers a person could wish for.” Kaya has quickly developed her skills and is eager to continue learning and growing as a new artist, all while maintaining a deep love and respect for the history of tattooing.
Kaya’s person styles leans more towards American Traditional, black and grey, and ornamental, but she is constantly expanding her art and loves exploring the different styles her clients continue to bring her. She strives to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who sits down at her station. “The best part of my job is seeing people leave our shop happier than when they came in,” Kaya says.
Before tattooing Kaya was a roller derby player. Outside of work, she enjoys collecting antiques, art, oddities, and loves socializing with new people and connecting with clients.
